Best Quotes From The Lion King
69The Lion King is my all time favourite Disney film. There's something very magical about it, and I think that's why I like lions so much now. I even named my ginger tom cat Simba, because I just love the film and wanted to be a part of it, in a weird kind of way. The Lion King is full of quotes that are motivational, funny and now very famous quotes and this hub will look at the best quotes from the Lion King. Reminisce and enjoy!
When Disney were in their prime, I found that their films actually had a deeper meaning than what met the eye. For instance, in The Lion King, the beginning of the movie is dedicated to the young Simba and King Mufasa. Simba thinks of his dad as a hero, and his idol, and that whatever happens to him in life he will be there for him. This is the way children should see their father figure. Scar portrays the evil person who is out to cause trouble - there are plenty of these type of people in the world, but in The Lion King, Mufasa can deal with anything because he is "the best."
Unfortunately when Mufasa is murdered and is no longer around, we see Simba lose his faith in the world. He no longer wants to be what his father set out for him to be. He loses himself slightly, and it takes a while for it to come back as he runs away from his past. We go through a journey with him back to greatness. His father said that he would always be there to watch over him, and he is. How many times are we told that in life when someone is dying? It is comforting.
Of course most of the above isn't really obvious to a child watching The Lion King. They just see a cute lion cub, and a brave lion who happens to be king, and that bad things happen in the world, but there are good people to make them better again. It may not provide an accurate description of "our" world, but it does highlight some key paths and attitudes to life that we must all adopt - otherwise we could all end up like Scar, bitter and twisted.
